Horrible travelling

Our Palestinian friends are back home safe, but it was a horrible journey for them. On the first day they travelled to Heathrow and flew to Amman, Jordan. There they had to stay in a hotel, because the ‘bridge’ (the border crossing between Jordan and the West Bank, controlled by the Israeli army) closed too early for them to reach it.

On the second day (this is a message from Abed, translation below):

This says…  “The journey to the bridges was really terrible because the bridge opened at 5 o’clock but there were hundreds of people. It was a long and tiring wait in the buses and under the sun [note – this is in the hot hot Jordan Valley, below sea-level]. We got to Abu Dis after six in the evening although we had set out [from Amman] at ten in the morning to go to the bridge.

And unfortunately, instead of going home, I went to the emergency centre, because Adam was really unwell on the way - because he hadn’t been well in the first place. I took him to the health centre and they gave him some treatment and medicine – then went home.”

Wishing them all a good rest, WISHING ADAM WELL QUICKLY – and we hope that the memories of a good visit will be stronger than the memories of the horrible travelling.
